Best Coffee Makers
You would not expect there to be a lot of debate on which company offers the best coffee maker. All coffee makers seem to be more or less the same – at least as far as I can tell. I have been a coffee drinker for many years, but I do not think that I could tell the best coffee makers from the worst ones by the taste of the cup that they brew. None the less, I have a friend who works in a coffee shop and insists that there is a difference. He claims that, once you know the best coffee makers, you can not go back to any other kind.
According to my friend, the difference is much more subtle with coffee makers than with espresso makers. With the best espresso makers, you can tell the difference as soon as you raise the cup to your lips. The taste is smoother, richer, and more even. It is even a little bit less bitter. With the best coffee makers, however, the difference is a lot more subtle. The taste might be a little bit mellower, or it might be stronger. It depends upon how the cup is brewed.
The best coffee makers are more adjustable than other ones. You can adjust the trip rate, the heat, the number of times that the water drips through the coffee beans, and numerous other things. The best coffee makers should only be used by experts. You see, other styles of coffee makers work well enough. They have a nice moderate setting that should work for any strain of coffee. But with the best coffee makers, you can tweak things to your individual taste. It allows you to have a real gourmet touch to your coffee.
Of course, even if you can't tell the difference with the best coffee makers, you certainly will be able to with the worst ones. If you have a lousy coffee maker, you will know it immediately. There are all kinds of things that can go wrong with badly made coffee makers. The best coffee makers are all well sealed. They will last for years and years, brewing fresh cup after fresh cup of coffee. Poorly made coffee percolating machines will tend to spring leaks almost immediately. You will find half your coffee on the ground. Some of them do not work properly from the very first time that you take them out of the box. You really should avoid them at all costs.
