Candle Ideas For Your Home Decorating
There are many creative ways of decorating the home throughout the year to creative a warm and welcoming environment. Everyone has different tastes in what they want surrounding them in their home environment. Some people enjoy very opened spaces without a great deal of clutter. Others like to surround themselves with items that they have collected through the years. Still others like to use trendy items to decorate their living space. No matter what is used for decoration it seems that most homes incorporate some type of candle ideas into the décor.
The main thing to remember when decorating your living space is to create the area for your comfort and the comfort of those you live with. Too often people tend to decorate their home in an effort to impress others. This creates a space that is not comfortable to be in. I feel the most comfortable in rooms that give off the impression that people are living in them. That is why when I use candle ideas in my decorating I make sure that I light the candles occasionally. Not only do I enjoy the light that candles create but I think partially used candles shows others that you live in your home and enjoy your surroundings rather than set them out for display purposes.
If you do choose to use candle ideas for decorating, and you do not light them occasionally it is important to remember to dust them periodically. The wax of candles attracts dust. When cleaning them use a dry paper towel with out chemicals on it. If you use a cloth or toweling that has a chemical on it you may leave behind residue that is flammable.
I have been given many candles as hostess gifts and for other occasions. My friends and family members know that I like to burn candles, so I can always use new ones for decorating with candle ideas. One of my favorite things to do is to group varying size and shapes of candles together for a table centerpiece. Several years ago I purchased a square metal tray that has four legs that are about two inches tall. I arrange candles on the tray and then scatter the bottom of the tray with different items. I will use rocks, pine cones, large pieced potpourri or seasonal items. This tray looks different for each season as I think of other candle ideas to arrange on it. This is a way of changing a centerpiece often with out having to invest a great deal of money. It can also fit any style of decorating taste.
